FIRST® Tech Challenge is a robotics competition for students in grades 7 - 12.
Teams of up to 15 students are responsible for designing, building and programming their robots to compete as alliances against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programmed using JAVA. Teams are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles.
Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments. Teams advance from local qualifying tournaments to state championship tournaments, before advancing to the World Championship Tournament.

Welcome to the “Center Stage” Season!Weather Update for Saturday, February 17th (as of 5:15 am)
The event is still "on" Snow to the west is less than expected, reported snow falls in the NE Edge area are also less. Take it slow and drive carefully. If you are going to be considerably delayed or run into problems, please let us know. Please text the number in the Information Packet. Weather Watch for Saturday, February 17th!At this point here are no plans to cancel Saturday's event.
Forecasts seem to indicate that snowfall will be worse to the west; since this is a North East Edge event we are hoping the impact to competing teams will be minimal. We will continue to watch the forecasts, and post updates as required. As always, the safety of your team comes first, so please watch the forecast for your specific area and plan accordingly.
